5.) Clean up after yourself. Put glass and tools back where you
found them, and if there are glass shards around your area on the
floor or table, please sweep them up.
6.) If the medium you are working in requires the use of paper
towels, please bring in a roll and put it into class room
stock. That stuff gets expensive, and you’ll go through more than
you think.
7.) During IS you are responsible for purchasing all materials
related to your project. That includes glass powders, frits
and fusible scrap glass. During certain classes those items are available for use
during class time or specific projects, but in IS you need to
purchase them.
8.) Safety: There is always a drawer of band aids and a
first aid box in the student tool area. Please bandage all
cuts and clean up yourself and the table of any bodily
fluids. We really don't like sharing those things. We
have a release form that we have you sign, just to remind
you. You are in the studio at your own risk. You are
working with glass, which has sharp edges that may cut you.
If you are doing stained glass you are working with a small amount
of lead. Please keep this in mind, be careful and ask
questions if you are unsure of the safety of an activity.
Thank you.
9.) Myself, Sharon and Carrie are happy to help you, please
remember to thank Carrie and Sharon for their contribution to the
studio, without them I would not be able to offer as many classes
or IS time as I do. Our goal is to create a wonderful community for people to
share their experiences and love of glass. Thanks to all of you also for
making it so fun for me.
